...is what our clinic staff is doing in basecamp. Weather is holding, and if all goes well, the first southside summits should be racked up tomorrow morning. We hear that the Working Title team is healthy and in the lead.

Not one patient in the clinic in the past 2 days -- nearly everyone is up on the mountain. Except AAI and Adventure Consulants teams, who we visitied in Pheriche and Dewoche, taking their pre-summit-bid rests at lower altitude. All were happily soaking up the sun and enjoying the green grass and blooming rhododendrons, which we all have missed living on the rockpile.

This morning I had coffee with the young lady we had to fly down last month with pneumothorax and broken ribs -- she's re-ascending after a full recovery (though not climbing) and she looks terrific. It was great to see her healthy and back up the mountain.
