Base Camp MVP in the news!

Lakpa Norbu Sherpa, our EBC clinic logistics manager and HRA employee made a big splash in the Teton Valley News today. Reporters got wind of the news that the first Nepali was enrolled in last weeks NOLS/WMI wilderness first responder course in Driggs Idaho and rushed to meet and interview him before his classes began. They followed him through his 10 day course as he learned valuable skills that will serve him well at base camp - CPR, trauma patient stabilization, treatment of hypothermia and much more. After the course concluded, Lakpa celebrated by summitting the Grand Teton with Exum guide and friend Amy Bullard. He is enjoying his first trip the US and taking in sights in Montana, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and Washington DC over the next month.
